Pipeline Project Management

PIPELINE PROJECT MANAGEMENT FOR 49 CFR /192 / 195

The oil and gas industry continues to face more regulation and increased demands for facility efficiencies, while staffing and operations budgets are reduced further and further.

BMJ Engineers & Surveyors, Inc. (BMJ) offers expertise to assist in meeting these demands, within established budgets.  BMJ’s experienced engineers are familiar with the new regulations – including 49 CFR / 192 / 195, and they are familiar with the traditional needs that must be met day in and day out.

NOVA Chemicals – BMJ has managed three high-pressure pipelines carrying ethylene, propylene, and natural gas liquids for NOVA Chemicals Corunna, Ontario site. This refinery and petrochemical complex supplies between 30% and 40% of Canada’s total requirements for primary petrochemicals.  The refinery is capable of producing in excess of 6.5 billion pounds of basic petrochemicals and 3 billion pounds of refinery and energy products annually.  BMJ has served as the public liaison between NOVA Chemicals and City of Marysville’s public utilities, police and fire departments, and CSX Railroad.

Plains Midstream Canada ULC, formerly BP-Dome Petroleum – BMJ provided high consequence mapping and alignment drawings for four miles of three oil pipelines.  BMJ also participated in excavation digs for ILI defamation tool anomaly investigations.  Surveying services provided by BMJ include boundary determination and mapping of the St. Clair, MI Plant.

DTE Energy – BMJ provided high consequence mapping and alignment drawings for 20 miles of a 10” oil pipeline.  BMJ also provided engineering review services for new MDOT crossings and surveying services for various projects.
